1. Instructions for entry Entries for the West London Business Awards must be submitted, no later than the deadline stated in the schedule. Entries submitted by any other means, or that do not comply with other guidance for entry may, at the judges’ discretion, be rejected. Entrants will not be informed if their entry is rejected.
2. Entry fee Entries to the West London Business Awards cost £30+VAT, the cost of which is deducted from the purchase of a table or ticket at the Awards ceremony. Entrants are responsible for any and all extra costs incurred in preparing their entry and submitting it for consideration. No Entry Fee is refundable.
3. Ceremony Conditions Shortlisted companies are required to book at least one ticket to the Awards ceremony. This is to make sure that all shortlisted companies are represented and can accept their trophies / certificates on the night. You must provide a mobile number so that we can notify shortlisted companies on Monday 2 November 2026. You will be given 72 working hours to confirm your attendance at the awards or relinquish your status as a shortlisted company. The shortlisted companies will be published on Tuesday 10 November 2026.
4. Eligibility Criteria The main criterion that companies must meet to be eligible to enter the awards is that the company is ‘doing business’ within the boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow. We will also accept applications from neighbouring boroughs local authorities with a West London identity: Kensington & Chelsea, Richmond, Spelthorne and Wandsworth.
5. Judging Criteria Entrants should carefully note the judging criteria. These are non negotiable and are the basis that will be used to determine the winners.
6. Disqualification. Your submission will be disqualified if:
– it is misleading or false
– your organisation cannot evidence operations within the specified local authority areas (see 4)
– it is lacking up-to-date contact information
– it is incomplete
– you do not book to attend the ceremony should you be shortlisted
– you do not settle invoices on time
7. For the categories listed within ‘Recognising Smaller Businesses’ You must pick one sector category that is the best fit for your business. You cannot enter into more than one category in this cluster of awards. Your business can submit additional entries in any other relevant clusters of awards.
8. Commercially sensitive data Err on the side of caution with any commercially confidential or sensitive data you are considering including in your entry. If you do include sensitive data as part of your submission, please make clear that this is not to be shared as part of any winners’ case study and/or that the awards coordinator should ensure that any competitors that may be involved in the judging panel do not have visibility of the data.
9. Time period covered by awards entries Work entered should have been completed between November 2025 and October 2026.
10. Correct category Judges may decide to reassign an entry from one category to another if they feel it better meets the entry criteria.
11. Authority to enter Anyone completing an entry will be deemed to have the authority to do so on behalf of any agency or client company involved in or mentioned in the entry. Neither West London Business nor any of their subcontractors can be held liable for any claim or loss arising from this or any other breach of these terms & conditions.
12. Judges’ decisions The judges’ decision shall be absolutely final and binding on all entrants. There is no appeal process and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. Copyright Any material submitted for entry may be reproduced freely and at no cost by West London Business or their agents in connection with the West London Business Awards. All material shall be deemed free of copyright or other encumbrance, neither West London Business nor any of their subcontractors shall be held liable for any claim or liability arising from such use. Please provide brand guidelines to advise us of how to use your corporate identity in any case studies arising from the awards process.
14. Results news embargo All information regarding the results will be embargoed for publication until after the Awards ceremony on Friday 5 February 2027.
15. Winners Commitments If you are a winner in your category and are not already a member of West London Business (WLB), it is generally expected that you will come into membership and actively support our work to make West London the best place to do business. This is especially expected should you be awarded the highly prestigious title of West London Company of the Year and not already be a WLB member. This enables WLB to support you in maximising the PR potential of your achievements in the following twelve months.
16. Company of the Year As West London Company of the Year 2027, it is understood that you would become a supporter of the West London Business Awards 2028 with the privilege of and helping us select the 2028 Awards charity.
17. Communications Only successful applicants will be notified of the progress of their entry into the final round – the shortlist. This will occur on or around Monday 2 November 2026 with the final shortlist publicly available on Tuesday 10 November 2026.
18. Media rights Attendees at the awards ceremony will be filmed and potentially featured in follow up promotional videos. Your attendance at this event implies your consent to feature in these materials.
19. Use of Brand All Highly Commended, Finalists and Winners will be supplied with a digital badge for free use on digital platforms. This must be used as supplied and not amended or manipulated without permission.
